Brambling(chaffinch) is winter migratory bird. アトリは日本の冬鳥で富山・山形から入って全国に拡散する。

Japanese winter migratory bird, Brambling(chaffinch) is coming in from Japan sea side in autumn. A male and female of this wild bird ,Brambling(chaffinch) are different color. It is not a so difficult thing to judge. They often act in a big group, but generally act in 5-6 small groups. Their design and color become the protective coloration.
So it is so hard to find out on the ground covered by the fallen leaves.

　アトリは毎年日本海側の山形・富山付近から日本に飛来し全国に拡散するようだ。人吉近辺でも毎年秋口に大群で電線に留まっている画像を撮られる方が情報を提供されているようだ。私は最高でも３０羽ほどの群れにしか遭遇したことは無い。一度大群にお目に掛かりたいと思っている。

　今までアトリは全国各地で出遭って撮影しているが、オス・メスの区別は比較的簡単なようだ。乱暴だが他の野鳥と同じで黒っぽいのがオスで白っぽいのがメスだと思っておけば大体間違いない。１２月、３月の八ヶ岳、１１月の大阪万博公園、３月の人吉球磨川土手、いずれも判りやすい色柄だった。

　広島の宮島に居たアトリは枯草の上に居て、なかなか居る事が判らない迷彩色と言うか保護色と言うか、自然の造作の見事さに舌を巻いたことが有った。
